Imaginary Botanical Mixed Media Landscape

This original 6x6" mixed media painting combines acrylic with pen and ink layering. It is created using a gelli plate mono-printing technique for the background layer which this landscape emerges from. The plants are based on my imagination. My imagination is prompted by my obsessive observation of nature in the various environments I visit. If you didn't know... I've visited nearly all fifty states at one time or another.
