What would it feel like to spend an entire day creating from a place of pure inner knowing — where the brush, the pen, or the pencil moves not from technique, but from the soul?

Brush with Spirit is a full-day creative and spiritual retreat at Creative Spirit Studios in Gaines, Michigan. Led by artist and spiritual guide Tonya Henderson, this intimate, cozy gathering is limited to six participants, creating a welcoming, supportive space for personal growth and creative exploration. You’re invited to come as you are, explore at your own pace, and share only what feels comfortable

Through four woven meditations, intuitive artmaking, and a sacred fire ritual, you will quiet the noise, open your channel to Source, and anchor your transformation into physical form.

No art experience is required. Come exactly as you are. This is not a traditional art class—it is a day of coming home to yourself through creative devotion.

What You’ll Experience

  • Guided meditation and breathwork to settle in and connect with your creativity.
  • Intuitive painting, mark-making, and journaling, with no art experience needed.
  • Time to pause, enjoy refreshments, and connect with a small circle of participants.
  • A releasing fire ritual at the outdoor Medicine Wheel.
  • A closing meditation and sharing circle to reflect on your day.

A curated spread of nourishing seasonal snacks, artisanal chocolates, and loose-leaf herbal teas provided by the studio. (Bring whatever your body requires for extra nourishment)

What is Fully Included in Your Experience
