If I dislike cooking and prepare a meal while complaining about it, the food never tastes as good as when I cook with enjoyment and appreciation for the process. The same principle applies whether I’m excitedly using fresh ingredients or simply opening a can and serving its contents.
There are varying degrees to my willingness, enthusiasm, and investment. You can think of these levels like higher or lower frequencies. The more I love, enjoy, and immerse myself in making food, the better it tastes—because of the energy I bring to its creation.
Art, too, possesses energy—just like everything else. I believe we sense this energy, even if we aren’t consciously aware of things like frequency or vibration.

In contrast to a factory-produced item, untouched by human hands, a handmade object always “feels” better. The energy of its creator is infused into the creation itself.
Let’s explore this idea further.
Many artists talk about the experience of being “in the flow” while creating. This state feels like stepping into another reality where time fades, struggles disappear, and you tap into a stream of creative energy. Ideas flow effortlessly, creativity is abundant, and inspiration is present.
It’s pure positive energy moving to and through you. You feel inspired, joyful, and deeply connected to the creative process—even if there’s some personal challenge involved.
Your energy is elevated—at a higher frequency or vibration. Whatever you create is infused with the frequency you reached while in this state of flow.
Now, imagine one person who is generally depressed and another who is usually happy. Both are making the same thing—a batch of cookies, a crocheted scarf, or a similar painting. Do you think their creations will carry the same energy, or will there be a difference?
As a creator, I’ve discovered that there’s a level even beyond “the flow,” where I reach an even higher vibration and frequency. I know that what I create from this state is truly felt by others, as seen in their reactions.
When something is created with love, it becomes an expression of love—and is recognized and cherished as such.
When you buy a handmade pumpkin pie made from fresh pumpkin (not canned), you’re tasting love and nourishing yourself with it. When you purchase a painting and hang it on your wall, you’re filling your home with that love. You raise the vibration of your space, which in turn lifts your own energy.
If you’re feeling unwell, tired, or unmotivated, visit a farmers’ market or step into an art gallery. If something lifts your spirits, even a little, take it home. Let it elevate you.
(Then, start letting go of unnecessary mass-produced goods in your home!)
When you begin to think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration, you’ll better understand why handmade, handcrafted, and artistic items feel so rewarding to buy, experience, and treasure.
Consider a Personal Energy Portrait. These are created by channeling higher consciousness and contain the highest frequencies I’ve ever achieved while making art. Each piece is custom, one-of-a-kind, and reveals unique aspects of you. They offer remarkable experiences for both clients and myself, helping you see yourself from a fresh perspective.
